Kathy Nuss, OTR/L, CHT

Occupational Therapist, Registered
Certified Hand Therapist
Certified Integrative Manual Therapist
Lymphatic Drainage Certification

Kathy Nuss graduated with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. She has worked in a variety of work settings, including developmental disabilities programs like Special Olympics. She focused on spinal cord patients in hospital-based acute and rehabilitation programs. Her experience includes being part of an oncology team as well as working with patients on kidney dialysis. Kathy also worked with adults and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric unit.

While working at a local community hospital, Kathy became interested in hand therapy and soon became certified in hand therapy as well as in lymphatic drainage. She turned to Integrative Manual Therapy, because she appreciated the diagnostic tools it provided, plus it looked at the whole body for the cause of pain, discomfort or limitations rather than focusing on the symptomatic area. She earned her certification in IMT and has since found its technique to be the most effective and efficient in helping her patients reach their goals.
